At Cher-Mère, our mission has always been about more than self-care. And this year, thanks to your support, we’ve been able to live that mission more fully than ever.
Welcoming New Faces - and Cherishing Familiar Ones
As Kingston continues to grow, we were thrilled to welcome so many new clients into the Cher-Mère family in 2025. Whether you came in for your first-ever facial or treated yourself to a long-overdue massage, we were honoured to be part of your self-care journey.

Expanding Our Impact Beyond the Spa Walls
One of the things we’re most proud of this year is how far our care extended beyond the spa itself. With your continued support, we were able to deepen our commitment to community - not just through donations, but through time, presence, and partnership.
Because of you, we were able to support Youth Diversion, United Way, Breast Cancer Action Kingston, Lionhearts, Motionball, Threads of Hope, the Integrated Care Hub, and many more groups doing meaningful, life-changing work in Kingston. Your commitment to choosing local and choosing Cher-Mère allows us to extend care far beyond our spa walls.
Bringing Wellness Where It’s Needed Most
Some of our most heartwarming moments this year happened outside the spa, as we brought our services directly into spaces that need extra love.
Our team began offering manicures and pedicures at local retirement homes and places like Providence Care. These aren’t just services - they’re opportunities for touch, conversation, and connection. For many residents, these visits were about more than polished nails - they were about feeling cared for, feeling seen.
It’s been a powerful reminder that wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it doesn’t belong exclusively to spa settings. It belongs everywhere - in every stage of life, in every circumstance.
Supporting the Next Generation of Wellness Professionals
Another highlight of 2025 was welcoming students into our spa for hands-on learning. Mentorship is a core part of our vision - not just because it builds the future of the industry, but because it honours the journey of growth we’ve all been on.
We believe in teaching more than technique. We teach intention. We teach how to truly care for people - how to hold space, how to listen, how to serve with love. Watching students develop their confidence and skills has been an absolute joy, and we look forward to expanding these opportunities even more in the year ahead.
Showing Up in the Community
Whether it was participating in local markets, sharing knowledge at wellness events, or collaborating with other small businesses, 2025 gave us plenty of chances to connect in person with the Kingston community. These moments matter. They allow us to step outside of our usual rhythm and really see the people we serve - to hear your stories, answer your questions, and be part of your everyday lives.
This year reminded us that community care isn’t just a value - it’s a practice. It happens one conversation, one event, one intentional moment at a time.
