Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that uses small (micro) crystals to exfoliate and to remove the dry and dead (derma) top layer of your skin. It’s similar to rubbing your skin with sand on the beach but with a little more punch! This technique increases blood circulation and reduces the appearance of fine lines, uneven pigmentation, and clogged pores.
To be most effective, microdermabrasion treatments should be done in a series of 6-9 sessions. Microdermabrasion results in smoother feeling skin. At Cher-Mère, we use the Versalis Silhouet-Tone machine. Our machine uses high-grade corundum crystals which are propelled onto the skin safely and evenly while keeping a circular, vortex-like motion which doesn’t cause discomfort or irritation of the skin.
