Before you know it the winter coats, hats, gloves and boots will start to come out of the attic and into your closet. As the season changes from fall to winter, harsher temperatures can withdraw moisture from your skin and hair. Here are some tips and products to help you stay healthy and protected this winter!
Let’s get started!:
- First step is to find a winter moisturizer for your face. You’ll need something more hydrating, as dry skin is more prone to occur.
I would recommend our Protector Cream! Cocoa butter is the main ingredient, and it works to form a protective barrier and seals moisture on your skin. It’s the perfect combat to any winter day!
2. Next, try to shampoo 2-3 times per week. Before you go outside make sure your hair is completely dry!
We have a variety of hair shampoos and conditioners to meet each and everyone of your individual needs: Healthy Hair, Thinning Hair, Curly Hair and Chemically or Colour Treated Hair. For my own personal hair type I prefer the Herbal Shampoo and the Hair Organics Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner. The Herbal shampoo cleanses and restores my hair. After shampoo I follow up with the Argan Oil conditioner which protects my colour treated hair. It also gives the appearance of smoother, silkier hair.
3. Apply a hair oil after you shower.
Hair oils are great to nourish your scalp AND your hair. Hair Organics Moroccan-Argan Revitalizing Oil is my go to! The oil immediately makes my hair feel soft like silk. It also protects my colour and makes my hair shimmer. You can apply the oil on dry or damp hair. I like applying it on my damp hair personally.
4. Use a deep conditioning treatment once a week.
A deep conditioning treatment is vital during colder temperatures as the moisture in our hair is less. I recommend the Thinning Hair Deep Conditioner. This is particular for anyone with thin hair, formulated to minimize the impact of thinning and damaged hair. It’s enriched with Organic Certified Shea butter, Jojoba, Olive, Coconut Oil, Protectagen, and Vitamin E, helping the scalp and hairline healthy, while locking in moisture and strengthening the hair shaft.
Winter is approaching fast, and I hope these tips help! Let us know in the comments what you are looking forward to this upcoming season.
